Pain Around Right Breast While Lying or Sitting

50 year old female.  Over three years ago, I lifted ten pound weight above my head.  After doing that, I began to have pain around my right breast in the intercostal area.  When I am standing , walking, I have no or little pain, but when I am sitting or laying down, I have pain around right breast.  It feel if something in the area would pop, it would feel better.  Does anyone else have this.  I have been to rheumatologist .  Had a ct scan of cheat, all normal,  I also have had heart checked and stomach checked.  All normal.     Rheum year said it is mayo fasciae pain syndrome!

Hello and welcome to the forum.  We're sorry you are in long term pain over this!  I'm glad to hear you've been going to the doctor and have had some testing to try to determine the causation of this pain.  Here is some information on what your Rheumatologist says is the cause.  https://www.mayoclinic.org/diseases-conditions/myofascial-pain-syndrome/symptoms-causes/syc-20375444  This is a pain disorder made worse by repetitive motion.  It also can worsen when stressed or anxious.  Trigger points are often involved.  Treatment usually includes trigger point injections as well as manual release and massage and physical therapy.  Sometimes pain relievers even otc nsaids are prescribed as well as antidepressants.  Stretching is very important, massage can be incredibly healing, heat, ultrasound and posture training are all utilized as well.  Could you see an orthopedic surgeon?  And I have to ask if you've looked into fibromyalgia?
