Will Aloe Vera help heal a lesion on my small intestine?

Recently in the hospital due to abdomen pain - and a lesion was found  - taking prednisone for inflammation - doctor wants to do infusion but I am not so sure because of the side effects.  I have had Crohn's disease for over 30 years and have an ileostomy, and this is the first time I have had ever had any problem?       Don't know what to do.

Without knowing what kind of lesion no answer can be given, but it appears you have a tumor.  Aloe vera can help heal wounds and ulcers, but tumors are something entirely different.  It's even unlikely aloe vera alone would heal an ulcer.  Other things would be combined with it and are considered stronger.  While aloe can be very helpful in protecting the digestive system, again, if this is a tumor, you're on a different level of problem I would think.  Can't tell you what to do, but when you have this kind of problem a website like this probably won't get you where you want to go.  Just as you consult a medical professional for complex problems, you also consult a professional in natural medicine for complex problems, such as a naturopath.  Given your history, I'd hope only someone who really knows their stuff would offer you an opinion on this as you've had severe problems already.  But whatever you do, when you're done and have chosen your course of action and this problem goes away, that's a good time to consider natural methods of treating inflammation in your digestive system.  Aloe can be helpful for that, but you have to know which part of the plant to use if you're going to use it regularly.  For example, the whole plant can cause diarrhea.  So even with simple stuff you have to know what you're doing.  Better remedies for inflammation in the digestive system exist, but I'm not going to mention any because of what you've already gone through.  Hope it works out.  Oh, remember, natural treatments take longer to work usually than medical interventions, because they are not as strong but that also usually makes them safer, though not necessarily safe, and effectiveness might not be known because historical use might not include complex problems that can only be diagnosed by modern tests.

My lesion is like a sore or ulcer.  It is not a tumor -  Never had any problems with Crohn's for 30 years nor have I ever taken any medication.  This is the first time for a problem. Thank you for your information.
Did the doctor recommend aloe vera?  What is their treatment recommendation and how do you manage the Crohn's?
