Any ideas on what's been making me sick for 2 + Months?

I've had a number of symptoms since at least the beginning of February: Body aches/joint pain (particularly in my legs and back), headaches, sore throat, mouth sores, some diarrhea,  swelling in my lymph nodes in my neck and groin.  All of this has been accompanied by general fatigue (and a lot of stress over my symptoms).  I was concerned about an HIV infection after a few encounters I had in January, though I've had several tests (quick tests, 5th generation, and the RNA test) and all were thankfully negative.  I suppose there's still a chance that is it, and will retest in a few weeks, but I've been assured I'm not at high risk and that isn't it.

I've had all sorts of tests done for lyme, mono, various autoimmune disorders, other stds, a few cbc's etc.  So far one of the only things that has come up is a low lymphocyte count.  First 1.0 in a 1.5-4 reference range, and then 0.9 a few weeks later.  Yesterday I got a call saying that a fungal culture had been positive for Candida albicans/Candida dubliniensis group..  They said they weren't sure if it was a urine sample or oral swab, and all the gave me was some clotrimazole.  I do have a red rash on the head of my penis, along with what appears to be oral thrush on my tongue, though I've also been assured it isn't.

I've been reading about Candida overgrowth, and wonder if that is a possible cause for all the symptoms.  People keep suggesting Lyme as well, and telling me that it can be difficult to diagnose.  Any advice on this would be greatly appreciated, even just in terms of what type of specialist I should see.   The symptoms really haven't been going away and I'm starting to lose my mind a little going to different doctors.

Hello~Yes, Candida can cause all kinds of symptoms. There is a great book by Dr Crook called "The Yeast Connection" Here is a link to a page by it:   http://www.yeastconnection.com/
There is a wealth of info here and also in the book, I think it will be of some help to you.

As to  specialist, possibly an allergist or an internist.

I hope you feel better soon.
