I've been researching for an answer and I can't seem to find anyone with a similar experience. I've had this weird experience once or twice in a long long time and didn't think of it much until recently it has happened once every night and it concerns me.
In these nights, I would be sleeping normally/dreaming and I abruptly wake up to my inner pelvic muscles contracting and relaxing on their own, with an intense fluttering feeling inside just below the belly button like I have to pee really bad. It almost feels like it hits my bladder and urges me to go. So I go and relieve myself and feel slightly better, but after I'm done, I still have that weird fluttery feeling a little less intense and sort of feeling like my bladder is still full. Then it goes away. It happens just once in a night, there are 1-3 contractions when it happens (mostly just 1). It's not painful, but it is discomforting and I wake up startled and wincing holding my area.
Other than that, I'm fine the rest of the day. What could cause this? Could it be tight muscles? Stress? Something else? I'm 26, female, not sexually active, healthy with no other problems, and I work in a high paced environment required to stand around all day, if this helps.
