I was diagnosed with lyme disease about 6 years ago, after having it misdiagnosed for about 6 years. I have since been diagnosed with scleroderma, tachycardia, atrial fibrillation, ibs, ehrlos danlos hypermobility syndrome, etc.
One of my biggest concerns now is this slight fever I've had since everything started. It's usually around 100 degrees, however; it only shows up if I take my temperature from my temple. I noticed this after I had my son in 2009. I had never had the need for a temple touch thermometer until I needed it for the baby, and was surprised when it read that I had a fever. It does not show up orally and doctors don't use a temple thermometer. I have a general feeling of unwell, as well as nausea and feverishness.
So my question is, what can make you have a fever only in your temple, not orally? I have seen the doctor for this and she said: "Maybe you just have a warm face". .... >:/ I do see a rheumatologist and have had lots of blood work, you'd think if there was something going on they would've found it..
Someone please help. My life is hard enough without this fever!
