Is this a type of allergy?

In the last month or so my skin is begging to itch all over the body, especially hand and legs, there is no rush, once I scratch it I get raised bumps.
It happens in all hours but randomly.

I got this from shower liquid body soap. I'm not sure if it is new ingredients in these liquids or I have just become sensitive, but once I went back to good old fashioned soap, it went away. I didn't really get raised bumps though but felt like needles in the skin.

How often is it? Daily? Weekly?

If often, then I would cut out all

oops. To continue: I would cut out all liquid soaps and also look into laundry powder sensitivities too.
Actually the wierd thing is that suddenly almost all the laundry smells really wierd for me even though I use the same laundry soap as always. Thanks for the advice, I'll try it out

Have you tried any antihistamines and if so did it provide relief?

Not exactly, I think it worked more like a placebo than anything, because sometimes it will relief the itching and some times it won't.
