Hi
Thanks for writing to the forum!
The simplest reason is tight foot wear. So change your foot wear and see. Another possibility is gout which generally affects the great toe in 75% cases. However it can affect the little toes too. This is due to high uric acid in the body that gets accumulated in the joints. Another possibility is Chondrocalcinosis which is similar to gout but caused by deposition of calcium pyrophosphate rather than uric acid. Rheumatoid arthritis is another possibility. Bursitis—inflammation of the joints, fungal infection, peripheral neuropathies like those of diabetes are other possibilities.
Is there a deformity in the toes? If there is then chances are that you have bunions or hammer toes.
Consult an orthopedic specialist. Hope this helps. Please let me know if there is any thing else and do keep me posted. Take care!
Hello,
I can explain you some common cause of toe pain like :
corn: It is a form of callus, a protective layer of dead skin cells formed due to repeated friction due to shoes, shocks etc,.Bursitis of the Toe:It is an inflammation of the fluid filled sacs that protect the toe joints,Ingrown Toenails, Bunions: is a deformity that usually occurs at the head of the one of the five long bones or just due to deficiency of vitamins. So you can take some multivitamins for few days and see if it works. Consult to your physician for further examination. Hope it helps.Regards.
