Long term morning nausea not related to pregnancy

As long as I can remember, I've had stomach issues - specifically unexplained nausea. When I was a kid, I couldn't eat in the morning and when I did, there was at least a 33% chance I'd throw up. The rest of the time, I'd just be extremely nauseated. My mom thought I was being difficult and when she finally took me to see the doctor, he told me to keep a food journal and then declared me lactose sensitive after flipping through it. I disagreed because I rarely ate dairy and it had no impact on whether I would feel sick later. Flash forward to now - I am almost 35 and still have severe nausea on an almost daily basis. The worst part about it is when I work, I am often fighting back feeling like I am going to puke my guts out. No, I am not pregnant, although with my pregnancies I had such severe vomiting that with all 3, I had to go to the ER at least once. With my last pregnancy, I had a net weight gain of one pound because I was so sick all the time. I've noticed in the mornings I work, I actually still taste my dinner from the night before when I burp. Eating, antacids, mint tea...nothing really helps for very long. I've been told I was lactose sensitive (although I don't eat a lot of dairy and I don't notice any worse nausea after eating dairy). I've been told it's anxiety - but even when I am not having anxiety problems, I am still frequently ill. As of right now, I've been sick all day, my  stomach is growling but I just ate about 2 hours ago and in fact, the food feels like it's just sitting like a rock in my stomach (which happens about 10% of the time). I need some direction to point my doctor. I am sick of being dismissively told I have a food sensitivity or that it's anxiety.

I would recommend seeing a doctor and being referred to a Gastroenterologist.
