Occasional discharge from naval?

Now and then lasting days for weeks at a time I experience a smelly brownish itchy discharge from my belly button. Starting with an itch, redness (which only lasts a day) followed by brown crust ring around naval and foul smelling discharge inside of naval. I have used peroxide, anti fungal cream, triple antibiotic ointment, alcohol.. nothing helps but time it seems. But it’s gross and not frequent, I shower daily and dry thoroughly..Any help?

Hi! Have you consulted a dermatologist about this issue? I would start there. Maybe you're experiencing a skin infection/fungal infection of some sorts, or even an allergic reaction to something. A dermatologist can help rule things out.

I agree with Laurie. Not all fungal or bacterial infections or allergic reactions are the same. A dermatologist is likely the best option to help figure out the right source and treatment.
