Pain between buttocks?

Hi. This is a very embarrasing question, but I need help.

I sometimes have pain between my buttocks. It's pain at the top of the crack, not by the anus. The pain comes after sitting down too long, doing a lot of physical activity, and sometimes at random times.

I've been having the pain for about a month and a half. At first I thought it may have been a bruised tailbone (even though I don't remember getting hurt), but I read those heal in about four weeks.

I also disposed of the idea that it was a broken tailbone, because there is not more pain when I stand up.

Then, I thought it was a pilonidal sinus. However, I have came to the conclusion that it is not, because, there are no bumps or pus. In fact, there seems to be a slightly depressed area near the area of pain.

The area around the pain is darker than usual, but that is the only difference. No bleeding or sores. It feels fine, but I can't even remember how my normal tailbone feels like. It seems to be symettrical, and not dislocated.

I am a 14 year old male, and I have a 0% BMI compared to other people my age. I am six feet tall and 107 pounds, even though I eat normally and am NOT anorexic. Do you think that my being underweight could be causing this problem?

I don't believe that it is legal for someone my age to add a photo of such an intimate part of my body.

Like I said, I don't think that it is a sinus because there are no significant bumps.

Try to put on a little more weight and in the meantime avoid prolonged sitting. Try to find out exactly which type of physical exercise causes the pain so that you can avoid that, too. If things don't get better, go see a doctor.

I once had a similar problem and it ended up being a cyst filled with puss from an ingrown hair. It was right next to my tailbone. I ended up having it cut open and drained...in the E.R.
Go see your Dr. and have it checked out before the pain get's worse.
