Possible Seizures?

I am a 21 yr old male. I have no family history of neurological disorders (except for 'Bi-polar'). For three years I have been having random occuring neurological issues (events / attacks). The 'attack' causes hearing sensitivity (where everything is louder, yet clearer, not to the point of uncomfortable however), sensory (touch) altering (where things feel different, like a pen feels like the width of a toothpick), and what I can only call 'Time-attacks' (I feel as if time itself is moving faster to the point that I actually see things moving quicker, such as my-self walking and the T.V. even though). I sometimes have tingleing in my arms and head during them. Sometimes there is a numb feeling in my scalp and sometimes there is sickness like motion-sickness if I walk around during it. I thought they might be seizures, but I have no shaking, no pupil changes, no loss of though capability and I can write detailed things during the attacks. My sight itself (besides for seeing faster) isn't changed. And my balance is unaffected during. I have these attacks randomly, from once a week to once in 2 months. They last from 2 minutes to 20 minutes. Last week I had one and while it was going away, it hit again & worse. I decided to leave this question due to having one yesturday & one today which has never happened before. Please help me figure out what they are.

Vitamin deficiencies can cause some of those symptoms.  Vitamin B-12 deficiencies can cause something called "Megaloblastic madness."

"Neuropsychiatric manifestations such as memory loss, depression, hypomania, paranoid psychosis with auditory and visual hallucinations the so called megaloblastic madness have been described with vitamin B-12 deficiency. Patients may present with violent behavior or more subtle personality changes. They may also present with vague complaints typical of aging such as fatigue, generalized weakness and loss of memory. Cognitive testing may reveal frank dementia. These complaints may be attributed to aging or psychiatric illness unless a high index of suspicion is entertained and a test for vitamin B-12 deficiency is carried out. It is still not clear if mild or moderate B12 deficiency can cause dementia and whether supplementation of the diet with B12 can prevent or delay the onset of dementias like Alzheimer's disease. Patients who are demented usually show little to no cognitive improvement with B12 supplementation."

Vitamin D deficiency causes bone disease— rickets in children and osteomalacia (bony softening) in adults—which in turn can cause spinal cord or nerve root compression with pain, weakness, and sensory loss. Low blood levels of calcium produce muscle spasms (tetany), spasm of the vocal cords with airway obstruction (stridor), seizures, and altered thinking, including psychosis.

Thankyou for the response. My Mother has Low Blood Pressure and my friend has High and my symptoms don't match a blood pressure issue cause by the Medulla. Plus I don't do any narcotics, nor take any medications; I do drink, but just once in a while and not even to the point of 'buzzed'. Also, my Bi-polar disorder is minor & has been getting better. I am wondering if my problem might be some issue in my brain causing an abnormal release of chemicals or preventing the release of certain chemicals. Could this be a possible cause?

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hi

Thanks for the post! How are you now?

Altered perceptions related to hearing, touch and distance is seen if you are under intoxication of alcohol, medical and street drugs. Neurological problem of medulla of the brain too may cause these problems. Also since you have a family history of bipolar disorder, please consult a psychiatrist to be on safer side.

I think you may discuss these possibilities with your doctor. Then seek referral accordingly. It is difficult to comment beyond this without examining. Please let me know if there is any thing else and do keep me posted. Take care!
