Possible low blood sugar? How to treat symptoms

So for a WHILE now, I’ve been just constantly thirsty. Lately I’ve also noticed that my hands shake when I need something sugary, and it stops when I eat some cookies or something similar. I have dizzy spells VERY often that are accompanied by heart palpitations.

Does this sound like low blood sugar, or possibly something else? I’m a 19 year old female for context.

I agree with CurfewX. Perhaps you have a diabetic friend with equipment to test your sugar. Then you will know or at least have a reasonable idea.

Check your blood when you have the shaking phenomenon, and first thing in the morning before coffee, juice, etc.  That will save you a few bucks.

A quickie clinic visit would also be a good idea.

Please do not attempt to treat your symptoms at home.  Since you have no diagnosis, whatever you try could make the situation worse, or create an emergency event.  You need to see a doctor ASAP for testing.  It is possible you just have a blood sugar issue, or are dehydrated, but it is also possible that you are diabetic.  Your symptoms warrant a visit to urgent care, if you can't get in to see your regular doctor quickly.
