Post C-section issue?

After a scheduled C-section in May, I was given three injections of a pin medication (after my spinal tap wore off). I do not know what the medication was called, and it was injected into my thigh (twice in the right side, once in the left side) over the course of several hours. It is now the end of July, and the area on my right thigh is still experiencing numbness and the area also barely registers pressure. I’m a type one diabetic, so I’m beginning to wonder if this is something I need to address with my doctor. Thoughts or advice? Thank you in advance!

Ask the doctor, for sure. Sometimes skin nerves get damaged when the doctor cuts the skin for a surgery (this happened to me after an appendectomy) and it can take a surprisingly long time, like a year, for the area to stop being numb. It's possible that your c-section or the shot did that to some of your nerves, not from the medication but just from the physical cutting of a skin nerve. They do heal, but they take a while. Nothing wrong with asking your doc, however. Also, ask him what the shots were.
