Random bruised finger

Two days ago I noticed slight bruising halfway up my right index finger,it was painful to touch.i also had slight arm pain and my fingers had been twitching on and off all day.Two days on and my finger is bruising pretty badly,could this be a blood clot or burst vein,thanks

I had a burst vein in my finger and it got purple and had swelling.   It happens.  For me, it was when I was walking and my fingers swelled up (they do that somethings inexplicably) and I had my wedding ring on.  I have a friend who is an orthopedic surgeon and he told me it was this.  Ice it, rest your hand on a pillow above you when lounging on the couch, etc.  I got better very quickly and let's see if you do as well.  this article is about telling the difference between a bruise and a blood clot.  You sound to be describing a bruise.  REad through and see what you think.  https://www.medicalnewstoday.com/articles/322829
