My mom went to the doctor recently and they did a rh factor test the first one came back at 600! And a month later another test showed 1200!! She does not have any pain and has already seen a doctor who ruled out ra her primary doctor is at a loss but i am very concerned what could it be? And how high can it go before if harms her?

Her physician should be ordering some not so common labs at this point.  For example, serum viral panel, serum immunology markers, CRP, ANA, complement system labs, etc.  Do you know if she has had any of these labs done?

Hi
Welcome to the MedHelp forum!
You probably mean a high RA factor. High levels of rheumatoid factor can be found in severe rheumatoid arthritis, autoimmune diseases like systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE), scleroderma, Sjögren's syndrome, and vasculitis, infections like Hepatitis-C, chronic diseases like tuberculosis, mononucleosis, syphilis, and malaria, leukemia, liver disorders and endocarditis.
I think you should discuss these possibilities with your doctor. It is difficult to comment beyond this without examining. A comprehensive investigation is required keeping all the points in mind. Hope this helps. Please let me know if there is any thing else and do keep me posted. Take care!

Something autoimmune is definitely going on.

No symptoms at all?  Any other labs abnormal?

This factor can be elevated with other conditions and diseases as well, i.e. SLE, Infectious Mono, Chronic Hepatitis, Chronic viral infections, Leukemia, Bacterial Endocarditis, Systemic Sclerosis, Dermtomyositis, etc.

She already saw a Rheumatologist? Correct?
