Hello; My thermometer does not show more than 97 to 98.4 degrees at any time. But I still suffer from feeling hot all over sometimes not in the feet and hands which is very cold but only the body. Sometimes the other way round. Lasts for several months. Comes every evening or afternoon and lasts for the entire night early morning still hot upon waking up. The exhaustion is excruciating. Changed two thermometers still does not show temperature but body is piping hot! very fatigued all the time. HELP. Stopped lepitor and all the vitamins etc for 3 days no improvement.
Hi
Welcome to the MedHelp forum!
Since you have diabetes, polycystic ovary as the cause of fever should be investigated. It can also be due to hormonal imbalance and PID (pelvic inflammatory disease).
Recurrent or chronic fever is seen in tuberculosis, hepatitis, SLE, rheumatoid arthritis, Polyarteritis nodosa (PAN) and other auto immune disorders, UTI, drug fever, sinusitis, glandular fever, otitis media, IBS, HIV, STDs, endocarditis, parasitic infestations (like malaria), fungal infections, lymphomas and other cancers etc. It can even be due to uncontrolled diabetes and hyperthyroidism.
Please discuss with your treating doctor.
Take care!
Have you ever had a lupus test done? A couple of the symptoms of lupus are low grade fever and exhaustion.
If you are able to get a lupus test done, I suggest that you spend some time out in the sun prior to your test - as close to your testing time as possible. In people with lupus, this sun exposure can raise the levels in your blood, making it easier to detect through the blood test. It may make it easier to get a diagnosis.
Best of luck and please let us know how you make out.
Hi, is it possible to get low grade fevers (99.5) with allergies and/or sinusitis
If it is sinusitis you should really call your Dr. so they can get you on some antibiotics.
Let me know what your Dr. says!
