Reply to topic Post new topic Pain in foot/leg from groin region after masturbating.

I have serious pain in my leg but worst of all in my foot (right). It's worst when lying down, I can't stretch out my leg without my foot tingling and aching immediately. I cannot lie on my right side for more than a few seconds. I can lie on my left side as long as I have a pillow between my legs, and even then I need to move my legs every few seconds/minutes (depending on the severity of the pain). I have had CT scan of back, MRI of back, xrays of hip, knee, foot, ultrasound of groin.. all came back normal. This started when I was masturbating and felt a dull pain in my right groin. Stupidly I kept doing it and it just got worse and worse, a few days later the pain appeared in my foot as well when I lay on my back and masturbated. Can masturbate when on knees (!!) without any pain at all. Am now on oxycodone just so I can fall asleep. When sleeping, NO PAIN AT ALL, also upon waking, NO PAIN until I walk a few steps, then it starts. This was also the case before the oxy, as long as I could fall asleep the pain completely subsided until 10-15 mins after I woke up. Please help!

Thank you! I can get a CT scan very easily, should it be of the groin/hip area? Would an MRI show things that a CT scan cannot? Also I have heard of CT scan with contrast, which would you recommend. Thank you again for your response!!

Hi
Welcome to the MedHelp forum!
Your problem looks more like saddle neuralgia or Pudendal nerve entrapment (PNE) in which the pudendal nerve (located in the pelvis) is entrapped or compressed. Diagnosis is by diagnostic block, MRI, CT scan, and Pudendal Nerve Motor Latency Test (PNMLT). You may not have all the components of this problem but since MRI of lower back is normal and sciatica is ruled out, this possibility should be investigated. Take care!
