Dizziness that comes and goes every day, jaw discomfort

About 7 months ago I had my first experience. Disoriented feeling, slight to moderate headache, sort of a chill in the "outer head." Odd sensations in neck, under jaw, ear. Happened a couple of times but went away shortly or by next day.
Then I get an e-mail from someone who has been making me very tense. My head explodes. Doesn't go away. Diarrhea, sweats, dizziness, severe weakness. Comes and goes in "waves." No real predictability. Dr. says stress (I have no problem with this as it makes sense. Dad died a year ago, brother driving me crazy, lots of tension/stress). This was Jan. 2009. Dr. says it won't be a question of constant improvement.
Noticed I was grinding/clenching teeth and jaw alot. Went to dentist thinking this was obvious answer to head problems. No diagnosis, just gave me full upper mouth guard. Wore it for weeks and seemed to get better.
However, I can't shake it. Comes and goes; though I am much better. No diar. or sweats or feeling totally drained and ready to drop. Teeth and jaw are better but pain and discomfort still there. Seems to move around but mostly in lower right jaw where I have 2 crowns. Disorientation/dizziness/jaw discomfort/temple area tension come out of the blue. Better than worse.
I sleep great, eat well, plenty of exercise, outdoor time.

I read a couple of posts which make me think there is no answer, but I am wondering about tension/stress/anxiety.
Stress levels are way down/ the estate work is done now and I have a great life for the most part. Has anyone made it through this maze of symptoms and gotten "cured" from stress related illness. If that is what this is.

Sorry for the longwindedness but i like to be somewhat thorough in reporting symptoms.

Hi
Thanks for writing to the forum!
There can be various possibilities like irritable bowel syndrome which is causing your diarrhea, dizziness and chills. It could also be a low sodium/potassium/calcium. Similarly trigeminal neulralgia can cause your jaw related symptoms. Hypothyroidism too should be looked into. The diarrhea may or may not be related. TMJ is another possibility. X-ray of the TM joint is required.
Hope this helps. Do discuss these possibilities with your doctor and get yourself examined accordingly. Please let me know if there is any thing else and do keep me posted. Take care!
