Thanks a lot for the suggestion. I will read more about fibromyalgia because I do seem to have several of the symptoms and no other answers. Thanks again and I will let you know what I find. I have an appointment with my neurologist in about two weeks and I'll discuss it with him.
Hello,
In my opinion, you are having fibromyalgia. It is a disorder classified by the presence of chronic widespread pain and tactile allodynia(pain and tenderness on touching). The various symptoms of fibromyalgia are chronic, widespread pain and tenderness to light touch. Other symptoms can include moderate to severe fatigue, a heightened and painful response to gentle touch (allodynia), needle-like tingling of the skin, muscle aches, prolonged muscle spasms, weakness in the limbs, nerve pain, functional bowel disturbances and chronic sleep disturbances.
Diagnosis is by clinical examination and history of the patient. Antidepressant drugs, analgesics and muscle relaxants have been used frequently to treat fibromyalgia. Amitriptyline and Fluoxetine also have been used to treat fibromyalgia. If the diagnosis of fibromyalgia is confirmed then you have to start with these.
I feel that you need to consult an orthopedician or rheumatologist and discuss the possibility of fibromyalgia with them.
Hope it helps. Take care and pls do keep me posted on how you are doing.
