Saline gargle at least thrice a day especially before going to bed. Use semi hot water with a couple of teaspoons of table salt.
You say your throat aches. Acid reflux can get up in there, but it wouldn't make it hard to swallow or cause a sore throat, it would feel like something unpleasant got in there for a moment. Are you going to bed or lying down soon after eating? If so, that could be the cause of the increased reflux. But if you have a sore throat that aches badly for a week, have you looked at it? Is it red? Are you feeling sick, fatigued? Because a sore throat can be a lot of things. It could be spring allergies. But it could also be strep throat or tonsillitis, both of which I've had. But with both you would not only have a sore throat, you would also feel sick. I know this isn't a great time to be seeing a doctor, but I'd have to say, if you've had that bad of a sore throat for that long I'd want to see one to get a throat culture taken.
Dysphagia is a common issue with gerd. What are you doing to treat that?
Both acid reflux/GERD and sore throat/feeling like there's something in the throat choking one, can be caused by thyroid inflammation. As already suggested, it's a good idea to see your doctor and ask for some tests to be done.
