Throbbing Sensation in Head That Leads to Migraines

For about a month I've had this painful throbbing sensation in my head that feels like it's behind my left eye near my upper nose. The sensation comes and goes day by day but sometimes the throbbing gets very painful and I get migraines that I can feel are from that area, it happens several time a week now. When I shake my head I can sometimes feel pressure in the area. Recently I've begun to feel this sensation in other parts of my head and I'm getting worried. I went to the doctor and she told me to take ibuprofen for when the pain gets bad and a Zyrtec once a day to see if it's allergy related. The Zyrtec I feel does nothing ut the Ibuprofen helps when I get the migraines. I have no family history of migraines as well.

I would suggest a sinus CT or xrays to rule out sinus pressure but due to your wording it sounds more migraine related all the way around, including the eye pain/pressure. Look up ocular migraines and I would highly recommend looking up Neurologists in your area that specialize in migraines. Hope this helps!
