Undiagnosed Symptoms - Opinions

Hello,

It's taking forever to secure an appointment with my GP, I have one for in two weeks time (the earliest I could get), but my symptoms have become worse in the last two weeks so I'm not sure what they'll be like in two weeks time . I'm suffering with loss of balance, eye twitching and strain, numb and tingling sensations in my legs and my right arm has a shooting pain that goes from my shoulder to my fingertips irregularly. I have regular bowel discomfort and I'm getting fatigued easily, which really makes my physically demanding job difficult. I'm also dealing with depression because of this and I've had several anxiety episodes. Mother has Multiple Sclerosis, Father is Diabetic/Epileptic/Rheumatoid Arthritis.

What are your opinions?

Thank you for your time.

Thank you for your reply, Andrew. I felt particularly bad yesterday so I managed to get seen by an out of hours clinic and I was expidited to an appointment with my primary doctor today. Both said I need to see a Neurologist and I've been referred. I spoke about it being stress but my primary didn't seem satisfied with just that.

I've noticed a significant deterioration in my self over the last month especially, even on the really good days. It could very well be stress but I'm holding out to see what the neurologist finds (if anything).

I think that at least some , if not all of your symptoms are stress related. It must be difficult for you with both your parents  so unwell.
If at all possible you should take some time away from your "physically demanding job"and take a break. Learn some relaxation techniques and apply them. Don't let your doctor give you sedatives or antidepressants because these will only whitewash your symptoms and not address the root cause. Good luck and take care.
