Uti medicine

Hey y’all so I was told I had a UTI and not a std by my doctor and gave me sulfamethoxazole/trimethoprim and I told her that I took azo too, she said it was fine with it. So my question is does azo effect any other body fluid colors besides oranage urine can it change semen?

Yes, in fact it can effect the colour, but not the quality. For conception I would suggest you to choose an uti and medication free period of your life. At least three months since the last time. Just to be on the safe side. You never know... Thalidomide was once considered safe too, but the result was catastrophic!
Oh, and what concerns uti medication, please choose either trimetoprim with sulfomethoxazole or azathioprine. Please don't mix them togeather. There are no benefits doing that, just more adverse effects. In fact in Europe for uncomplicated utis ibuprofen 3-4 times a day is considered the only medication needed. Get well soon!
Hey, thanks for the response and just to be clear you’re talking about azo changing the semen color? It’s weird that my doctor told me it’s ok to mix it
Yes, well, there could be a reason for your doc to prescribe you 3 antibiotics at the same time, I don't know of, making my answer completely wrong.
