What could be causing this fatigue, etc.?

First, a little background: Back in the middle of November, I had sexual contact (non-penetrative) with a guy I was dating at the time.  While most of the contact was by hand, there was some brief genital-to-genital contact.  Shortly thereafter, I had what appeared to be an outbreak of herpes, although the doctor was not able to confirm this as my blisters were more like chicken-pox and not big enough for a swab test.  Since late November, I have been experiencing itchy rashes on my thighs and upper body (these come and go), flesh-colored bumps on my neck and scalp that sometimes itch, a sore throat that will not go away, a pale coating on my tongue, and extreme fatigue that does not improve with rest.  I've tested negative for STIs, and have been told in the HIV forum that in any case I'm not at risk for HIV (I did test negative  for it at 8 weeks, and will confirm that at the 3-month point for peace of mind).  I've also had a chem panel and mono-spot test, and all bloodwork was normal and I don't have mono.  Any thoughts?  Could what I'm experiencing be unconnected to the sexual encounter, merely a coincidence?  I'd appreciate any possibilities you can come up with!

Yes, any fungal infection should be ruled out.

Thanks for your response.  I've got another question for you.  A friend of mine suggested candida as a possibility.  What do you think?

Hi
Welcome to the MedHelp forum!
It could indeed be an outbreak of Herpes and you can now test for it through a blood test that will identify the anti body against it. Herpes spread is possible through skin to skin contact.  The other possibility is fungal infection called Tinea corporis. The third possibility is psoriasis, eczema or dermatitis. Please consult a skin specialist regarding this.
Hope this helps. Please let me know if there is any thing else and do keep me posted. Take care!
