Dizziness

The room spins and I get dizzy for a few seconds when I lay down

Cipro makes me hallucinate.  But this person only stated that he/she has vertigo - why all the info?

Make an appointment to see your doctor.  

It is important for your to be examined by your doctor to find the underlying cause of your dizzy turns.  The room spinning round for a few seconds can be due to an ear problem called Meniere's disease.

And like silverfox67 points out, there are other reasons for getting these types of sensations.

Vertigo can be a sign of several different conditions.  
Could be a pinched nerve in your neck or back,  an ear infection, sinus problems, a concussion, whiplash, trouble with your vision, a blocked septum in your nose... the list goes on.
      I would suggest seeing your doctor for a complete physical.
