What does swelling on my left testicle mean?

I woke up this morning with a slight pain in my left testicle.  I didn't notice swelling until tonight.  It's swollen pretty good and it hurts at the touch of anything.  What should I do???

You need to seek immediate care. The emergent concern would be for testicular torsion. Testicular torsion is an emergency condition. It happens when the spermatic cord, which provides blood flow to the testicle, rotates and becomes twisted. The twisting cuts off the testicle's blood supply and causes sudden pain and swelling.
