What's burning down there??

I'm a 35 yr old male.  Very healthy.  Usually workout in my garage for hours 4-5 times a week.  2 months ago I had unprotected sex with someone I just met and about a week later I felt a minor burn on the tip of my penis.  The burn wasn't constant and I mainly just felt it when I sat down.  Pain level felt about a 1-2 out of 10.  No other symptoms at all...no lesions, no blistering, no itch, no painful urination, just a burning penis tip.  I went to the doctors 2 weeks after my symptoms and had a full panel STD test.  Negative for everything except HSV1 which I wasnt surprised about.  I was prescribed ciprofloxacin because the MD thought I might have urethritis.  The meds seemed to help and I felt good.  2 months later, the same exact symptoms are back and its currently been an ongoing 10 days.  Just burns when I sit still.  I did take a very close look down there with a flashlight and saw some pin sized bumps on the penis head but they are the same skin color.  I spoke to the doctor and I told her I think I have a yeast infection because of my long workouts and she told me it very well may be and to try miconazole.  Hmmm...thoughts?  I'm concerned it is hsv2.
