White Spots Near Tonsils? Should I be worried?

So lately I've been feeling like I have something stuck in the back of my throat, it doesn't hurt or anything. So I finally got a little flashlight and looked back there and noticed these two small bits of white. My throat is a bit sore sometimes but I usually just drink warm tea and honey and it feels better.

Should I be concerned??

Thank you all for your opinions and advice, luckily after drinking many herbal teas the spots have gotten smaller and less become less of an irritation.

Nevertheless I will be setting up an appointment.

Thank you all again!

Hi, the key here is do you have a high fever? Is your throat extremely sore? I see the two white spots at the bottom of the photo. Do you have any other symptoms? If no high fever it is not strep. If you do have a high fever, 102-103 and you have pain in the throat, hard to swallow and no other symptoms such as no viral symptoms (no cough, no sneezing, no runny nose) then you need to go get a throat culture. If it is group A strep they will give you antibiotics if not they may or may not give you antibiotics depending on the severity of the strep. Some strep infections (other than the classic group A strep throat) can be severe as well. But if no fever, I wouldn't worry at all.

No, they are called Tonsil Stones. They are very common. Read the link below

id consult a doctor..it might be something like strep or it could be something like the beginning of thrush.. if it is either one of those you can be given meds to fix it up right quick.
