White light in eye

I have had an increase in seeing a bright white line that appears when I close my left eye, and sometimes when my eye is open.  I have been told I have scar tissue on that eye.  Does anyone know what this may be?

mkh9 is right, you should ask this question on the eye care forum, and perhaps talk to your eye doctor. He/she can answer your question better.
One answer could be that your receptacles (cones) for differentiating between colors at the site of the scar are damaged therefore causing white light (all colors combined). But, your doctor can answer better.. or if not, then another eye doctor.

Not sure. I think you would get more answers on the eye care forum. They have opthamologists on that site.
