Not too long ago I posted this entry (
http://www.medhelp.org/posts/Undiagnosed-Symptoms/Cannot-Figure-Out-Whats-Wrong/show/1968012#post_9237571) detailing all of the ridiculous symptoms I've been dealing with for the past 6 months. To spare space, I won't list them all again and just let the link do the explaining.
As I said in that post, my doctor started me on checking my blood sugar when I'm having episodes of feeling particularly ill. There have been a few instances where I've checked and my sugar has indeed dropped to around the 50-60 range, with one time in particular catching it under 20 (felt particularly horrible during that instance). These readings have only occurred sporadically throughout the day. I have checked many mornings and never after fasting throughout the night has it been particularly low. My typical readings seem to stay around 80-90 throughout the day, with really the highest I've noticed post-eating being around 110-120. One instance that was interesting was a night when I woke up quite startled, heart racing, and very confused about where I was (took about a minute or two to get myself to realize that I was in fact at home in my bed. When I first woke up I could not even get my mind to think about what city I was in, it was quite freaky). When I checked my sugar then, it was 132, which by normal standards is not high, but it had been a while since I had eaten and with my normal readings being around 80-90 seem high to me (I don't know much about testing my sugar so I'm not really sure if it being "high" for me is in any way more telling since it is not high by typical standards. any input along those lines would be appreciated).
Mainly my question would be is it possible that these instances of low sugar are causing all of the issues that I listed in my previous post? I know that fits of hypoglycemia can cause mood swings, dizziness, headache, and all that...but would those symptoms be more isolated to when the hypoglycemia is occurring? Because mine tend to be stronger when my sugar is low but last fairly steadily throughout the days. Or if something else could be causing all of these other symptoms as well as my sugar to drop?
