chest pains for over two weeks now

Ok little background on me Im 21 years old female dont smoke rarely drink I have been having really bad chest pains for about 2 weeks now. I went to the emergency room on June 1 and they did xrays and a ekg the doctor said that it is just probably inflamed hearts walls and should go away in about a week. it hasnt if anything it has gotten worse the pain started radiating down my right arm and shoulder. I dont have a family doctor or i would go im just getting really worried because I can not do much without it hurting.  it has times that it is not hurting really bad that it is just a dull pain in my chest \ right arm and shoulder. the doctor did not diagnose it with anything other than saying it may be inflamed heart walls.  my boyfriend and i have been doing some research and alot of my symptoms match that of pericarditis.  any one think that that is what it could be  if so please tell me what to expect or how long it will last.  if you dont think so what do you think this could be?

I think you should go back and ask them why your heart walls are inflamed and what is causing it.  There has to be a reason.  You probably need a CBC to make sure that your white blood count is normal.  If it is elevated, it is possible that you could have an infection.  Also, you might ask for a gall bladder ultrasound since it is on your right side.  Those things can be tricky and cause alot of symptoms that you wouldnt think it could cause.  I hope this helps.  Please find a family doctor and become an established patient.  I do not think that this is something to mess around with.  Good luck and best wishes!
