female has really bad body odor issues and needs help!!

okay soo i'm having problems with body odor..I've been having this problem since about November of 2010 sad to say. I really don't know what the cause of it is because i take care of my body like i'm suppose to..i mean i'm a young female so i dedicate a lot of time taking care of myself physically...i wear an perspiration / antibacterial deodorant, when i get in the shower i'm scrubbing my skin until it becomes a little painful and raw. i shower twice a day everyday with an antibacterial soap..i stopped wearing perfume because it only makes the smell even worse in my opinion. At first i thought it was just sweating so i started taking 3 to 4 showers a day and adding baby powder to certain areas that i would sweat in thinking that it would absorb and take away the smell a little bit but it didn't work. Absolutely nothing that i have tried has work and this has been going on for some time now and it's really embarrassing to me as a young woman. Please help me, i just want to know if its possible that its really my hygienic habits after all i have tried or is it something that i should go get checked out seriously. and also what are some things that are possibly causing this? (( Also to describe the smell a lot of people say that it is really strong as if i haven't taken a shower in a few day..but i have!!!..and sometimes it smells like i forgot to put deodorant on and i had been sweating a lot and i put on more then enough on, then other times it smells like i took a "#2" and didn't wipe properly but in all reality i haven't passed a bowl movement since the night before and had since then taken 2 showers already, and i don't have accidents either haha l..believe me it got to the point where i even had to double check myself even though i knew for a fact that i hadn't. but the smell is strong enough that people can smell me coming or i change the whole smell of the room :-( ))

Thank you for your help..i really really do appreciate it so much.

I experienced something similar when I started with my fibromyalgia. I was making trips home to shower instead of lunch for months. At the same time, I became completely unable to block out background light, sound, smells etc.
What helped me back then for the smell problem is a pill called "Body Mint". You can order it online, thru Amazon, or their company itself. It's a chlorophyll-based internal deodorant, and believe it or not, NOTHING from you smells, breath, sweat, poo, even asparagus pee. Good luck.

There is a condition called Trimethylaminuria that might be what you're dealing with.  And some people can't smell it, so if you ask them they will say they don't smell anything while others will tell you the smell is awful.

A faecal body odor can be due to gastrointestinal problems such as constipation or a bowel obstruction in the small or large intestines. Also, a rare metabolic disorder called Trimethylaminuria (TMAU) causes a fish odor however in some instances the odor can be similar to the smell of faeces.

Causes of body odor include:

Poor hygiene
Excessive sweating
Medicines
Stress
Fever
Skin problems
Gastrointestinal problems
Fungal infection
Bacterial growth
Low blood sugar or hypoglycemia
Uncontrolled diabetes (ketoacidosis)
Overactive thyroid (hyperthyroidism)
Hormonal changes - puberty, menopause
Kidney disease
Liver disease
Vitamin B12 deficiency
Magnesium deficiency
Zinc deficiency
Scurvy (vitamin C deficiency)
Red meat and meat byproducts (dairy)
Certain foods eg: garlic, coffee, onions, spicy foods
Smoking
Alcohol
Obesity
Urinary tract infections
Rare metabolic disorder - trimethylaminuria

Try this: add few drops of lemon juice and rose water to the water that u'd take bath with. Make it a habbit everytime u take bath and see the difference over a week.

There are a lot of people who describe exactly what you're describing - have you google searched "body odor smells like feces"?  There are a lot of forums where this question comes up,  and there are varying suggestions.

Among the suggestions that have worked for other people,  work out vigorously every day,  remove gluten from diet,   and as Cary suggested eat lots of fruits and leafy green vegetables and avoid sugar.

There is also a suggestion of "Leaky Gut Syndrome" which is controversial.

Best wishes.

You need to get over your embarrassment and see a general physician.  You may need to have labs drawn.  Don't shower immediately before the appointment or he won't be able to detect what you're talking about.  So maybe after 11:00 a.m. if you shower in the morning.

I remember reading that some people will have trouble at their navel, where there is a little fluid leaking there that causes odor.  So that is one thing to check.

Make sure your diet is low in sugar and carbohydrates and high in vegetables, lean meat/poultry/fish, and whole fruits (not juice).  You may want to try stopping dairy in case you have an allergy.  Dairy is milk/cheese/cream/cream cheese/ice cream/butter, but does not include eggs.  Take Aleve or other prebiotic.

You could try a soap that contains tea tree oil as that controls bacteria and fungal growth.  Be sure to wash your feet with it.  Try Dove or Neutrogena hair products as they are allergy-free.  Or even a dandruff shampoo in case it's a yeast problem.  Nizoral shampoo is expensive but effective for that.  Whichever shampoo it is, sure you use enough to lather thoroughly and use the pads of your fingers to massage scalp.  If your scalp is oily, don't worry about conditioner unless you really need it.  Then use it at the ends and not at the scalp.

I hope you see the doctor and get to the bottom of the problem because right now it sounds like it is really taking over your thoughts.  It's better to take action than just worry and scrub your skin raw, not knowing what you're dealing with.

1- diet?
2- your own olfactory glands malfunctioning?  Does your best friend tell you that you smell or are you the only one who smells it?
3- go to your medical doctor and have him check you out ... there are a few medical conditions which can be identified through body odor ... good luck.
