first week after a concussion to a teenager

I have a teenager who got a concussion while snowboarding, He lost significant memory at the time. The Catscan was normal.  This morning I also noticed his hands shaking slightly.  The doctor told me he would have symptoms for a week or two, are the shakey hands a sign of something more severe, we have a follow up appointment on Monday.

Just try and tell him to relax, the injury can have physical damage but mental damage can be more serious.

One week after getting concussed is not enough time for your son to have fully recovered yet.

That is good that the Catscan was normal.
It is likely that his brain needs to have time to recover from the shock and one week is not long enough.

When my son aged 9 suffered concussion and a cracked skull by falling off his bike, it took many weeks before he was back to normal.

He suffered from concussion again as an adult when he was badly assaulted ant this resulted in memory blocks where he could not remember his words.  The Catscan  was normal but it took him months for him to get back to normality.

It may be that you hadn't noticed his shakey hands before.  The doctor will assess your son on Monday and will be able to give you the answers to your queries and concerns.

Best wishes.
