Fuzzy articact when moving my left eye - flashes but not light flashes

- I am 59, was near sighted since age of 16 and now I have 2 types of glasses +1 ( OD & OS ) and -1 ( OD & OS ) .
- 6 years ago I noticed a fuzzy circle in the middle of my left eye only, under the conditions where I looked at a very close range and when I seemed to have strained my left eye looking at very small objects that were very close.
It was transparent. No headaches followed. During the course of 15 minutes it gradually shrank and disappeared. Once it went away I could still see a blurred image within the boundaries of that “circle” for another 5-10 minutes. I still have the same problem today.

- Approximately 3 years ago I noticed another “artefact” like a contour/rim at the place of the above circle. It really is not a flash of light but you could say that it has a flash affect. Again it showed only on my left eye, always when open, and only when I moved my eye from one side to another. After the eye movement , it appears like a flash and then it disappears. This one has stayed with me and I can induce it any time.
- These artefacts did not get larger or smaller over time. The only change that I noticed thruought these 6 years, was that the circle (the first one) was much easier to induce now and more frequent in appearance (several times a day). I also think that the second one has some additional artefacts within the circle.
- I would like to know:
o Have you ever seen this type of effect(s) in your practice?
o Do you know (or even can speculate of) what it is?
o Is there a cure or a way to mitigate it?
- Within these 6 years I saw 6 different ophthalmologists of whom 3 of them did not bother to answer these questions at all, 1 of them diagnosed it as an ophthalmological migraine, 1 of them thought that it was Posterior Vitreous Detachment (PVD) and only one of them who had more than 50 years of practice told me that this was certainly not a migraine and that he did not know what it was.
- The following tests have been done numerous times within the last 6 years:
o Eye fluid pressure, glaucoma ( last was 1 month ago ) – Negative
o Eye Vision Field ( last was 5 years ago ) – Negative
o Retina Exam with dilation drops ( last were 1 and 2 month ago ) – Negative
o Macular Degeneration - Negative
- In any case all exams by ophthalmologists have not shown any anomalies. By the way I do have a migraine (not bothersome at all at this stage) with vision blockade and no headaches that occur maybe 1-2 times a year. I had that since I was hit by a hockey stick when I was 16.

Thanks for the feedback and I wish your mother all the best.

I do not have cataracts and I am not diabetic and my eye pressure is perfect as well as my blood pressure.

From the talks I had with all doctors I ( not them ) came to a conclusion that  I am in an uncharted territory. Ocular migraine, my diagnosis from most of the doctors, is diagnosed by exsclusion of explanation and elimination of any known problems. So if it is not a,b,c,d etc it must be an ocular migraine.
Not good enough for me and I will keep trying to find the exact explanation.

Best regards,
Marino
