When she lays down keep her head propped up like on a wedge. Give her plenty of fluids. Drink 4 or 5 cups of strong coffee every day and take magnesium. (caffeine and magnesium are both in migraine medication and are the only things that work for me anymore). If she needs to travel for Md's appointments, have her take a motion sickness pill. I actually take 1 dramamine and a sinus pill. Oh and definitely take stool softeners every day...the pushing definitely makes the headache much worse. I never know when these times are going to arrive...but I had several episodes and these things really work to make life bearable. Please don't forget prayer -- it works too!
has your sister been tested for parkinsons disease? just wondering.
Hello,
Yes it can be with her stress.
Better to go back to doctor for other check,
Liam
If the doctors have ruled out everything physically for your sister's symptoms, then I will tell you that everything your sister has can be an anxiety symptom. I know it is hard to believe that anxiety can be so dibilitating but it can.
The best thing to do is make an appointment with a psychiatrist. They can evaluate your sister, diagnose her if she has anxiety, and talk to her about a treatment plan. Plans can include cognitive behavioral therapy and/or medication. There are many anti-depressants out there that work very well for anxiety.
The thing about anxiety is there is usually a trigger. Have there been any stressors in your sister's life? Even something small like a bill or something? It may even be something that your sister doesn't think is bothering her but subconsciously it is there.
I know this all sounds so strange but it is real. I know this because I have OCD/anxiety. I have had it since I was a teenager. When left unchecked, I feel like I'm going to jump out of my skin, my heart races, my thoughts become uncontrollable, I become unable to do simple tasks becasue I am focused 24/7 on my anxiety.
So please make the appointment with the psychiatrist.
Also, there is an Anxiety forum on MedHelp that you can look at as well. It will give you an idea of what other people have gone through. There is someone called Dizzygirl, there are people posting about tremors, etc.
Best of luck and your sister is very lucky to have you in her life!
