leg discomfort/pitting edema

Iv'e been told by my boss that I have pitting edema in my lower left leg, and that I need to see a doctor.  But what are these re knots on my legs.

Pitting edema is swelling that when poked with your finger stays indented for a while before returning to the original shape. There can be many causes and should definitely be looked at by a doctor.

I dont't have any vericos veins!!! Now I have alot of swelling in my ankle.

Could they be varicose veins with blood clots.
