Allergy shots can take anywhere from 1-5years of taking them to actually work... :( but there is hope. I had a patient in a similar situation who had these HORRIBLE dibilitating H/A's and every 6 months she would come into the allergy office and get a shot of Kenalog (which is a steriod) and within a couple of hrs the H/A's were gone and wouldnt return for roughly 6months. Good luck with ENT and I hope you find answers soon.
Thank you so much! I appreciate your support.
I hope that things turn out well for you and that you can find a way to get pain free. Good luck and may any higher power that you believe in be with you.
Thank you for all the feed back! I have been tested for allergies and the results were positive for over 50% of the test so I started getting shots which resulted in absolutely nothing as well as antibiotics for sinus infections and I've been prescribed 3 different medications for migraines, none worked and as far a drinking water....that's all I drink, though I prefer orange soda. I also have hot spots on the back of my head. My entire life is falling apart. My doctor recommend that I see an ENT and Neurologist so I have appointments on Monday. I'm sure all of you that have headaches 24 hrs a day can relate to not living a normal life. I will keep everyone posted as to what my results are. Hopefully they will be of some help to others.
Ive suffed alot with dull pressure type heads. Sharp shooting pains in head and dizziness and its due to my anxiety. I have an anxiety dissorder. Are they the only symptoms?
When someone in my family has a headache the first question I ask is "how hydrated are you?". Dehydration often causes headache, dizziness, fatigue, and an inability to focus well. Prolonged mild dehydration is the most common culprit of my own headaches. I use the simple method of drinking half my weight (in pounds) in ounces. If I weighed 130 lbs I would drink 65 ounces to start with and add extra as I needed. Extra fluid is needed if you drink alcohol or caffeinated beverages or if you are losing more than normal due to heat or physical exertion (work, exercise).
High blood pressure can also cause headaches and dizziness.
Do you have allergies? Or have you ever been tested for them, typically if its migraine h/a you will have a sensitivity to light, vomiting ect. It may be as simple as a SEVERE allergy h/a I have seen this happen to alot of woman.
