nausea while breastfeeding

I had a baby 6 months ago and I am currently still breastfeeding.  For the past several months I've been suffering with chronic stomachaches and nausea every day all day long.  I also have heartburn often and the sensation of a lump in my throat.  I had an upper GI scope done and the doctor says my esophagus is inflamed and that I have GERD.  I never had any health problems before and I am not overweight.  I do not smoke or drink and I have a healthy diet.  I was wondering if the hormones from breastfeeding could possibly be causing my GERD symptoms?  Has anyone ever heard of this happening?

I haven't heard of it being caused by breastfeeding, but I have definitely heard of it being caused by pregnancy.
