pain in my lower ribcage, right side

Hey, I'm male 28 years old. The other day I was leaning over a metal railing at a skating rink to touch the ice with my fingers and I sorta leaned a bit against my lower ribcage on my right side. I suddenly got this shooting pain there though and trouble breathing... It still hurts allot, especially when I put any kind of pressure on it and I still have a little trouble with deep breathing. I'm still able to move around and go places but I have to be really careful... I cant run really much at all. Also depending on my movement it hurts to like a debilitating degree. I don't have health insurance and I was just wondering. could this just be bruising? Is it something that will just go away on it's own?

Hi
Welcome to the MedHelp forum!
It can be bruising or it can even be costochondritis that developed secondary to the trauma. You can apply local analgesic cream and hot fomentation by a hot water bottle and see if it helps. If it does not help, then, go to a walk in clinic and get this investigated. Take care!

My personal opinion is bruising! It will take time to heal. As long as you did not have any blunt force to it! Do you have any discoloration? I do hope you feel better soon!!!
