painful thumb

my thumb keeps locking, literally only for a second but i kinda have to force it to move its like a clicking effect (but no sound) and is quite painful. what could it be?

turns out my tendon is damaged and the nodule that sits on it has moved, im to have surgery next week. Scary stuff

someone mentioned something called trigger finger? and it does sound a bit like that. would i get arthiritus in just 1 thumb?

oops I see that you said thumb now! Silly me I kept thinking knee! Either way it could be arthritis or purhaphs a old sports injury?

yeah it really does sound like arthritis. I would see if your doc can prescribe something for you. Knee pain is the worst, I hope you get to feeling better soon!
