pleurisy

I have had a very painful constant pain between my shoulder blades for a day and a half. Years ago I had pleurisy on the linning of my lungs and then two years after that I had it again in my left scapula area. I'm wondering if this is pleurisy again. The pain doesn't ease with heat, IBuprofen or rest. Chest is heavy feeling and hurts.
There are no other symptoms and I am generally healthy. Please advise. Thank you.

No. it's most likely caused by a viral infection  and antibiotics will make it worse.Been there, done that. It seems that pleurisy leaves many people who get affected once, with a predisposition to re-infection (instead of increased immunity) of the pleura which may extend to the shoulder.
If the pain reminds of you of pleurisy-something impossible to forget-
it probably is!

I have successfully (self) treated each such infection, with alternate applications of 10% DMSO solution ( topical application in thin layers over
well washed area) close to the neck, 30% below the neck & Voltaren Gel.
I also did Reiki, self-hypnosis and rested well for 2 days, each time.

Best wishes.
Niko
