random painless low back jerks/twitchs/spasams?

I have had these back "twitches" for about 2 or 3 years now. I find when I'm sitting or laying down relaxed I get these black twitches almost like a jerk, I feel it in my low back but it makes my whole body jerk. looks almost like I have the hiccups. It happens randomly not much of a pattern on how long it last or when specifically I get them. I have been to a massage therapist a chiropractor and my doctor all with different ideas of what it might be, one said non of which really made the twitches go away. I found after working out and strengthening my back muscles it caused the twitches to happen less often. I really just want to know if anyone has the same thing and has gotten better info than me. I'm completely healthy, on no medication, I have never injured my back before. It just started to happen one day. Hope you can help!

Magnesium is also an important mineral for spasms.  Funny remedy that actually works for some is to put a bar of soap in your bed.  Don't know why it works - not Dove, Olay, or glycerine.  Any other type of soap works.  My Mom and I have soap under our fitted sheets - no more cramps or spasms.

Hi I wanted to give you a suggestion that really helped me with my back and leg spasms and it costs maybe $3 a bottle. It is Potassium Gluconate it of course is a vitamin that you can find almost anywhere-(even Family Dollar and Dollar General carry it) but it works to control the activity of the nervous system. I personally started to take 2 pills twice a day and my doctor told me to take 4 pills twice a day. I know it seems like a lot but I no longer suffer from back and leg spasms or charlie horses in my calves or feet! ;) Good Luck!
