Hi
Welcome to the forum!
There are many possibilities for recurring fever. However two you must seriously get investigated for. One is Lyme’s disease and the other is mold infection. I understand you feel it cannot be Lyme’s but neither can you rule t out 100% without the tests. Please discuss this with your doctor and run tests for them.
However for your information recurrent or chronic fever is seen in tuberculosis, SLE, rheumatoid arthritis, Polyarteritis nodosa (PAN) and other auto immune disorders, UTI, drug fever, glandular fever, otitis media, IBS, HIV, STDs, endocarditis, parasitic infestations, fungal infections, lymphomas and other cancers etc.
Hope this helps. Do let me know if there is any thing else and keep me posted. Take care!
I should add that this tick bite occurred in Virginia in the US, making it unlikely that I acquired tick-borne rlapsing fever.
