Hello,
Since there is no history of any unprotected intercourse and with a history of cysts, it is better to get evaluated for ovarian cysts and hormonal imbalance. This can be diagnosed by a CT scan or abdominal ultrasound and tests for insulin resistance. Blood tests may also be ordered to examine the levels of ovarian, pituitary, and thyroid hormones. Imaging studies, such as ultrasound, X-ray, and CT or MRI scanning may also be recommended in certain individuals to help establish the cause of amenorrhea (absence of periods).

It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided. For exact diagnosis, you are requested to consult your doctor. I sincerely hope that helps. Take care and please do keep me posted on how you are doing.

Hello,
Pregnancy is the first possibility which should be ruled out when you have missed periods and if there is a history of any unprotected intercourse. You can confirm pregnancy by pregnancy test kit with morning urine after 1 week or 10 days of your missed periods or with blood serum pregnancy test. These tests detect HCG hormone in body which appears only when a woman is pregnant.

Other than pregnancy, this could be due to unhealthy diet, stress (emotional or physical), sudden weight gain or loss, caffeine, alcohol, and smoking. Gynecological conditions like polycystic ovarian syndrome (PCOS), and uterine cysts or polyps can also cause such delaying of periods but is associated with other symptoms as well.

It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided. For exact diagnosis, you are requested to consult your doctor. I sincerely hope that helps. Take care and please do keep me posted on how you are doing.

could it be you are pregnant, if not then its stress. you have to be more careful with your health because most people ignore the word stress and it courses alot to our health...there is time for everthing so take very good care of your health.

I'm not a female but based on the patterns I see my finacee seem to go through, stress can greatly impact your period. weeks in variance bases on when and how much stress you are going through. And stressing about missing the period is just a vicious cycle right? Along with that, your period syncs up with the group of female you hang around most of the time so if you switch the groups that might also be reason. If you are having unprotected sex, pregnancy is possible but you can cross that out with a off-the shelf pregnancy test.
