Sorry you had a kidney stone.
Thanks for the info.
I took another look at my SloMag pills and they are Magnesium Chloride so that make sense that they don't upset the stomach and are digested slowly so that one doesn't get diarrhea. Hope this helps all.

Thanks mkh9.  I don't need the calcium either, I have to be careful because of having had kidney stones in the past and was told I had too much calcium.

tourlady89 wrote to me in August about magnesium.  But my memory is not too brill.  I have found the message she wrote to me and have copied the relevant section that may be of interest to you:-

There are so many different kinds of Mg. These ones are special..
Mg L Threonate for the brain,
Mg Chloride for for stomach,
Mg Taurate for the heart for those who gets rapid heart rate,
Mg Oxide as laxative.

Best wishes.

FYI,
There are regular magnesium pills but if you take too much, even 500mg they give you diarrhea. I take SloMag and they happen to have calcium too even though I don't necessarily want the Calcium in there and I take near 500mg and it doesn't bother me like regular magnesium. So, it absorbs slower than the regular type of magnesium.

Isn't there different types of magnesium?  And one form can loosen the stools not sure which one though.

FYI,
You can buy generic or Zantac OTC (without a prescription) in the US. I don't know about other countries. But I'm sure you can get it online for example drugstore.com is a reputable drug store and rite aid or Walgreen all may have an online store.

There are so many people with a Magnesium deficiency.  It causes so many symptoms that the person feels ill - even nauseous.
If you don't have enough magnesium, you can be irritable and anxious, you can have muscle spasms, tremors,  involuntary eye movements, vertigo, difficulty swallowing, irregular heartbeats and other mineral deficiencies.
I don't think our diets contain enough nutrition nowadays.  Our food has been modified to grow big and healthy looking but has little nutritional value.
Take a good vitamin supplement - and a magnesium supplement as well.  They don't cost much.

The other cause of tingling feet is through neuropathy when the nerves become damaged.  This can happen in people who have diabetes when they do not control their sugar levels.

Having pre-diabetes or a glucose intolerance can also cause neuropathic pain and pressure on the nerves in your lower back area can also be felt as sensations of pins and needles in the legs and feet.

Tingling in the feet can also happen if you cross your legs that hinders blood circulation to your feet.  Make sure that you sit correctly with your feet flat.

It certainly does sound like post-nasal drip. I had to do alot of experimenting and doctoring til I found what helped me.  I buy Allegra 180, (actually the store brand generic called Fexofenadine), and use it with a prescription nasal spray Fluticasone Propionate. As U no longer have ins. maybe an OTC nasal spray would work for U. (I have notice I have to use both to get relief).  Do not use Tums as they r loaded w/Calcium and can cause bladder problems. Hopefully the tingling feet is anxiety over this and will go away - i Ur feet r also purlish -  could be more serious, like circulation.  I hope this helps!

To me it sounds very much like you have congested sinuses that is causing a lot of postnasal drip.  The infection has probably cleared, but you still have thick mucus that cannot easily be blown through your nose.
The mucus is what is making you have this weird bitter taste sometimes it can taste like metal.

Like mkh9 says another reason for a weird bitter taste can be from acid reflux and that is why the Tums have helped you.  If it doesn't settle you can get Gaviscon or Zantac as suggest by mkh9.  I don't know if you can buy Zantac without a prescription, you would have to check with the pharmacist.  There are other stomach remedies available to purchase from the pharmacy without a prescription if you cannot afford to see your doctor.   To help with that, eat small portions and limit your consumption of alcohol.  It is best not to eat and drink before you go to bed.

The tingling in your feet could be from over breathing due to anxiety or referred pain from your lower spine or ill fitting shoes.

A really good and cheap way to unblock your sinus problem is to get a bowl and pour in very hot water (I boil up the kettle) and use a little bit of Vick (you can use Olbas oil or your preferred menthol remedy).  Bend your head over the bowl and cover your head and bowl with a large towel and breathe in the steam through your nose and exhale through your mouth.  Take care not to get scalded.  My doctor advised me to do this 4 times a day for a duration of 10 minutes each time.  This helps to loosen up thick mucus and decongest your sinus passages and any blocked Eustachian tube that can cause pressure on the ear.

If you do persist with the problem with your breathing, you should considering seeing the doctor again to listen to your lungs for any problems there and the doctor may decide that a lung function test should be done to find out if the breathing problem is related to asthma and not anxiety.

Best wishes.

I'm not a doctor but I think you are congested so it is hard to breathe and this makes you hyperventilate and that makes your feet tingle. Try to slow your breathing down. The feeling like something is going up the throat to your mouth may be acid reflux and that is why the tums help some. You should try generic Zantac (follow what it says on the bottle instructions) or an antacid if you  are not taking any medicine that says you can't take them. The nasal congestion may be a allergy or other sinus problem. You may try an antihistamine such as Zytec non drowsy pills. See if this helps for a little while.
