Hi
So you probably have tinnitus. There are many medical causes for tinnitus. Exposure to loud noise or vibrations may also cause tinnitus.
Other possible causes of tinnitus have their origin in either your ear, or auditory nerve (which carries signals from your inner ear to your brain), infections, side-effects of medicines (aspirin, quinine, some antibiotics etc) you have taken or because of problems with your jaw or teeth. These include: Ménière's disease, otosclerosis, middle ear infections,   acoustic neuroma, wax in your ear canal and TMJ. Please consult an ENT specialist.
Hope this helps. Please let me know if there is any thing else and do keep me posted. Take care!

Hi
Thanks for writing to the forum!
Substations send out high frequency vibrations which are not being accepted by your ears. Do you hear strange noises when you are away from home too?  If you do, then probably you have developed tinnitus or ringing in the ears. If you hear sounds only at home then they could be due to vibrations or other noises at the substation.
Hope this helps. Please let me know if there is any thing else and do keep me posted. Take care!
