what can i do about viral neck pain ?!

For over a month now I have had a really aching neck, back and sides, also with upper back and shoulder aches too. I also have mild headaches, like something arround the brain more than in it. Also I have regular night sweats. I thought it was a virus as I have been bringing up white sticky mucous that tastes bitter. Took course of anti biotic but did nothing. Went to doctors, they sent off mucous sample and did a blood test but found nothing. Feeling tired physically and mentally all the time, just drained of energy. Brain not functioning at it's best, forgetful. Worried what kind of virus this is and whether it might progress, especially since symptoms remained over a month now. Forgot to say one eye is leaking watery mucous from it. Have another doctors appointment in a week, it's the soonest I can get one. Does anyone have any ideas what this might be, and what I can do about it ?! Any advice or help really appreciated
