This has happened to me twice on the first day of my period, violent stomach cramps which involve the whole of my stomach from just under my ribs down.  An upset stomach, as if my body is rejecting something followed by sweating and then sleep.  The cramps are not eased by any changes in position, although I feel like I want to lie down I end up going back to the bathroom several times.  Afterwards I feel very cold for a while and then sleep sometimes for up to 4 hours.  When I wake I feel like I have been kicked in the stomach.

I have SEVERE cramping, nau, and sickness when my cycle comes. I know it may sound funny, but if you like bannanas, try to eat one or two when that cramping starts....it helps ease the pain and cramping:)

Do you have a gynecologist?  If not, find one and go for a complete exam.  Sometimes severe pain at the beginning of a monthly cycle indicates endometriosis.  Endometriosis can grow on any organ in the abdominal cavity (and very rarely elsewhere).
