yellowish goo at the middle of my scrape/wound

so i was running and... yeah. i fell down. so now i got this hideous wound/scrape on my knee and today's the fourth day since i got this.

a yellowish goo seemed to ooze out from it at the middle. i think the middle part is also the opened part? i can't really explain it much but here's a picture:

please help me. what should I do to make it heal faster? i've applied povidone iodine on the past 3 days but some articles say that i shouldn't. would this heal before september 6 comes? is the yellowish goo safe? im just honestly terrified right now.

It's probably infected. Which generally isn't a good thing. I suggest cleaning it out, putting some peroxide on it and then covering it up. But I'm not a doctor.
