UTI or Interstitial Cystitis?

Several months back I was diagnosed with a pretty nasty E Coli UTI. It was resistant and I had to be treated with IV antibiotics. Subsequent urine samples showed no growth, yet I still have symptoms. I have had urinary inflammation in the past which comes and goes, but this is driving me insane. I am on another course of oral antibiotics but nothing seems to be changing, and if it is the same E Coli it would need IV antibiotics again. However, all urine samples show no growth/or are clear with the exception of one that showed nitrates-yet the next day no nitrates showed and it was chalked up to being a false positive. I just don't know what to think. Could this be interstitial cystitis? What should I do? I can even see a urologist until next month.
